I used to sit in new places just for perspective.
Sit on the floor—think like a kid.
Climb to the roof—feel like a giant.
Through the purity of the teenage years,
I saw the beauty of the world.
But time, isolation, and addiction torn it down.
Today that world lies in ruin.
I lie beneath the counter to a world I cannot recognize.
Praying that the world changed, not me
Who wants to start anew
